1
Ihram & Intention (Niyyah)
After Ghusl, men wear the two white sheets (Izar & Rida). Women pray in modest clothing. Declare: “Labbayka ‘Umratan” (O Allah, I intend Umrah).
Tip: Recite Talbiyah often: “Labbayka Allahumma labbayk…”

Enter Masjid Al-Haram
Step in with right foot first, say the dua for entering the mosque. The heart fills with awe seeing the Kaaba – raise your hands and make sincere du’a.
3
Tawaf (7 circuits)
Start at the Black Stone, keep Kaaba on your left. Men do Idtiba (right shoulder uncovered) and Ramal (fast walk) first 3 rounds. Supplicate freely.
After Tawaf: Pray 2 rak’ahs behind Maqam Ibrahim, then drink Zamzam.
4
Sa’i (Safa ↔ Marwa)
Walk 7 laps between the hills of Safa and Marwa. At the green markers, men jog lightly (in remembrance of Hajar’s search).
Supplicate with “Rabbighfir warham…” especially between the green lights.
5
Halq / Taqsir (Shaving/Trimming)
Men: shave head completely (best) or trim all hair equally. Women: cut a fingertip’s length from the end of the hair.
After this step, you exit Ihram – normal clothes, perfume, etc., become permitted.
